High cholesterol is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. However, many women are unaware that cholesterol can cause a heart attack or stroke. That is why the National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention partnered with Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services and other local and national organizations to create the Counter Cholesterol campaign.

Counter Cholesterol aims to help women manage their cholesterol risk so they can be around for the people they love most. Join us and empower women to speak with their health care providers about the best way to manage their risk for high cholesterol. Get involved with the campaign by using the materials below or contact Debbie Martinez at debbie.martinez@nationalforum.org for more information.
